On a cold, wet and windy night in York, it was a surprise that so many people turned out for the open mic.......albeit most were players. There were one or two new faces including a young Geordie lass who surprised us with an excellent Come Together. The duo pictured above gave us some excellent guitar and flute/recorder instrumental tunes. The Elderlys dug out some songs which we hadn't played in a while, everyone singing along with Sloop John B. The evening ended on a sombre note; to mark the untimely passing (over Easter) of talented local musician Ann Dunford-Smith we all sang Let It Be.
